How it works

From telling us what’s happening, to having someone there.

Nawa is meant to feel like calling a capable friend who happens to know exactly what to do next. Here is what actually happens behind that.

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

Speak in your own words, or type it. Take as long as you need, and there is no long form to fill in. Bangla or English, whichever is easier.

  2. 02

    A few questions

We'll ask only what your situation actually needs: who it's for, where, when, whether they have transport, whether anyone needs to be let into the house. Nothing you've already told us.

  3. 03

    Your service brief

A short, plain summary of what we understood: who we're helping, what we'll do, where and when, and anything we've flagged. You can correct anything before it goes further.

  4. 04

    An indicative estimate

You'll see roughly what it should cost before you commit. If something about the request changes the price, we'll tell you why rather than quietly adjusting it.

  5. 05

    A person reviews it

Someone at Nawa reads every request. They may come back with a question, adjust the plan, or tell you honestly if this isn't something we should take on.

  6. 06

    You confirm and pay

Payment is cashless and handled in Nawa. Nothing changes hands at your family's door, and representatives never collect money.

  7. 07

    We choose who goes

We assign a representative we trust for that situation and brief them properly. Your family is told who is coming and when, and both sides confirm the Nawa Help Code before the service begins.

  8. 08

    You see it happen

On the way, arrived, under way, complete. When an update deserves a voice, you'll hear one. Afterwards you get a short summary of how it went.

A few honest notes

Things worth knowing early.

Transport. If your dad already has a car, that's fine. We'll use it. If transport is needed, we'll normally arrange an Uber and include it in the estimate.

Cash and valuables. If your family needs help getting to the bank, we can certainly look at how we can help. If the visit involves carrying a significant amount of cash or something valuable, please tell us beforehand. It isn't really about whether we trust our people. We do. We also have a responsibility to keep them, and your family, safe. Carrying valuables simply isn't the service we're set up to provide.

Timing. Dhaka traffic is what it is. We plan around it and tell you the truth when things run late.

Ready when you are.

Tell us what's happening and we'll work out the practical next step with you.
